How do I add HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry entries to all profiles?

To add HKCU registry entries to all profiles on an NT O/S you must place your HKCU registry entries in a component by itself and make it the key path of this component. It is recommended to put this component in a feature by itself - don't place any other items in this component or feature. You must also set your shortcuts to be "Advertised". Lastly, it's a good idea to verify that a cached copy of your install actually made it into C:\winnt\installer. If it did, everything should work fine! Whenever a new users logs in, the missing entries will be "repaired". Try using the Spy tool that came with the SDK for more help.
